The Tranquillity Pools offer an adult-only retreat, featuring a unique swim-up bar. As a guest of Tranquility, you’ll also have full access to the Discovery Pools during their scheduled sessions, allowing you to experience and explore our all-ages area.
Why us?
We’re the first to operate with a Solar Field, using solar thermal collectors to heat our pools. Even on the shortest winter days, our solar array meets 100% of the heating needs when the sun is out. Excess solar energy is stored and supplemented by energy-efficient heat pumps powered by South Island hydro schemes, ensuring consistent heating without compromising sustainability.
Methven is a 1-hour, 10-minute drive from Christchurch on Inland Scenic Route 72. Known for skiing on Mt Hutt, it also hosts a variety of summer events, including markets, multi-sport challenges, and plenty of social golfing.
