Your guide will meet you at your accommodation or a city centre pick-up point at 9:00 AM. The scenic drive to our climbing area takes us through Lyttelton, where you can briefly explore the historic port town, before continuing up to the climbing site. Enjoy stunning views of Lyttelton Harbour and the Southern Alps as we head towards the Port Hills, home to over 2,000 established climbing routes—making Christchurch one of New Zealand’s top climbing destinations. Once fitted with a harness and helmet, a short 5-minute walk will take you to the climbing area. Your guide will provide a safety briefing and belay lesson before you start your first climb. Depending on your abilities, your guide will set up climbs that are both fun and challenging. A picnic lunch will be served with a view of either Christchurch City or Lyttelton Harbour. After lunch, you’ll have the chance to try abseiling/repelling down one of the crag faces. For those keen on more climbing or abseiling, or simply relaxing, your guide will help you find the best spot to finish the day. At the end of your adventure, you'll be dropped off at your pick-up location, having experienced a day full of excitement. *Suitable for all ages and active travellers.
