Tekapo Springs offers a peaceful escape, with its three natural hot pools filled with exceptionally pure water from an underground source near Tekapo, set 720 metres above sea level. The water, ranging from 36.5 to 38.5°C, provides a soothing experience in a stunning alpine setting. Located on the shores of Lake Tekapo, just five minutes from the town centre, it offers breathtaking mountain views, a spa, and outdoor activities, making it the perfect place to unwind while exploring the region’s beauty.
Entry to three hot pools, each filled with exceptionally pure water from an underground source near Tekapo. While not geothermal, the water ranges from 36.5 to 38.5°C. The pools are named after the iconic lakes of the Mackenzie Region: Ohau, Pukaki, and Tekapo. Ohau features water curtains for a soothing effect, while Pukaki offers massage jets to ease aches. The Tekapo pool, the hottest, is an adults-only area with tranquil views of Lake Tekapo and the Two Thumb mountain range. Each pool is 40 square metres and one metre deep at its deepest point.
